Michael Louis Gargiulo (Born February 12, 1960) is a veteran American television news anchor at WNBC News 4 New York, NBC’s flagship owned and operated station. Gargiulo anchors Today in New York along with Darlene Rodriguez since 2008, and has been embedded with US military units in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, and the Persian Gulf. ==Early life== Gargiulo was born and raised in Manhattan, New York, he is of Italian ancestry and the child of Mike Gargiulo and Dorothy Gargiulo.〔(Michael and Mike Gargiulo ), Lohud.com〕 Gargiulo was a graduate of Xavier High School and New York University, where he received a Bachelor's degree in History. In addition to English, he also studied Italian, French, Russian and German. The NBC affiliate in Charleston, WSAZ hired Gargiulo in 1984 to host the local edition of the syndicated magazine show "PM Magazine".
